There are numerous styles of lofts in Atlanta
including authentic, industrial and "soft" lofts. Authentic lofts
are mainly lofts that have been converted from an old warehouse or
factory. These lofts are truly unique because most of these
loft buildings will keep some of the original posts or beams,
elevator shafts, and brickwork. Many of the authentic lofts in
Atlanta are located in the Castleberry Hill area which is located
near Downtown. Castleberry Hill is comprised of 25 different
authentic loft buildings, Castleberry Hill is the place find lofts in
Atlanta.
"Industrial" style lofts are exactly what
you think of when you hear industrial. Industrial lofts in
Atlanta consist more of the steel beams that run across the ceiling,
an example would be Freedom Lofts in Poncey Highland or Dynamic
Metals lofts located in the Martin Luther King District.
Many of the newly constructed lofts in Atlanta are
considered "soft" lofts. These types of lofts only have a
couple characteristics of authentic loft and some of them don't have
any features of loft but they threw in "lofts" in the name because
they know that will grab more attention from buyers than what a
condo would. Examples of "soft" lofts are Lofts at the Belvedere and the Block Lofts. Both of these are considered
more of a condo than a loft so make sure that you get out there and
look at all of the different style of lofts. Some of them will
be a better return of investment than others.
Atlanta lofts are truly becoming a hot
commodity and prices are really beginning to soar. It is
becoming very difficult to find a 2 bedroom loft priced under
250k.
