Atlanta Loft Foreclosures

With the downturn in the Atlanta Real Estate Market we are starting to see a few more loft foreclosures pop up on the market.  Foreclosures are typically priced way below market value and can be really good deals.  There are a few things that work differently when purchasing a foreclosure that you need to be aware of. First, the bank does not provide a sellers disclosure statement so you need to do your own due diligence to find out if there are any problems with the unit.  Although you have the right to do an inspection you are still purchasing it "as is" with no right to negotiate repairs with the bank. 

Also, many banks will want you to get pre-qualified through one of their lenders prior to submitting an offer and they typically will want to see at least $1000 or more in Earnest Money.
